Read Cardano's Market Metrics

A coin price is only one part of the market picture. Read it together with the quantity of ADA counted as circulating and the trading activity measured by the data provider.

MetricWhat it tells youWhat it does not establish
Market capitalizationReference price multiplied by the provider's circulating-supply figureMoney available to withdraw, or total cash invested
24-hour trading volumeReported trading activity over a rolling dayUnique users or guaranteed liquidity for your order
Circulating supplyThe amount classified as circulating under that source's definitionThe maximum possible supply
Period high and lowThe observed range within the selected intervalA floor or ceiling for future trading

Use values from a consistent currency, provider and observation time when comparing them. Mixing one source's supply with another source's price can produce a different capitalization figure.

Put the ADA Price in Context

A low unit price does not by itself make Cardano cheap or imply that it must rise. The same percentage move also has a different cash effect depending on the amount you hold.

Why a Low Unit Price Is Not a Valuation

Consider two hypothetical assets: one priced at $0.50 with 40 billion circulating units, and one priced at $50 with 400 million. Both have a $20 billion market capitalization, despite their very different unit prices.

That arithmetic does not make the assets equivalent. It shows why unit price alone cannot establish which network is more valuable, more useful or a better purchase.

What Can Move Cardano's Price

Changes in demand, available selling liquidity and the wider crypto market can move the price. Network developments or governance decisions may affect expectations, but they do not create a predictable one-to-one price response.

To investigate a decline, first compare the same interval in ADA/USD and the broader market, then check relevant announcements. A chart can show when the move occurred; it cannot prove its cause by itself.

Compare the Current Price with Cardano's All-Time High

Use the all-time-high value and its recorded time from the market data rather than treating a selected-period high as the lifetime peak. The drawdown figure measures how far the reference price is below that historical value.

An ATH is specific to a currency and the provider's recorded market history. A USD peak and a EUR peak need not occur at exactly the same moment because the exchange rate between those currencies also moves.

A historical maximum is not a promise that the market will return there. It describes a past observation rather than a future target.

Understand the Difference Between Market Price and Exchange Quote

An exchange quote applies to a particular payment amount, destination and rate mode. Its net receive amount can differ from multiplying your balance by the chart's reference price because conversion conditions and applicable costs enter the calculation.

For a hypothetical illustration, multiplying 200 ADA by a reference price of $0.50 gives a $100 market-value estimate. It does not create a payable $100 cash withdrawal or determine a particular stablecoin payout.

Choose an ADA Exchange Direction

If you already hold Cardano and need Tether, you can sell ADA for USDT and review a quote for the chosen receiving network. If you hold Tether and want Cardano, use the separate option to buy ADA with USDT.

Select the direction that matches the funds you actually intend to send. Review the form's conditions before paying rather than transferring against a chart calculation.

Cardano Price FAQ

Why can two ADA price providers show different values?

Providers can use different trading venues, aggregation methods and update times. Compare the currency and timestamp as well as the number, especially during a fast market move.

Can I withdraw the displayed EUR value to my bank?

No. EUR is a reference currency used to express Cardano's market value here. SwapADA's exchange directions send and receive cryptocurrency rather than bank payments.

What should I check if the price stops updating?

Check the displayed update time and any unavailable or stale-data message. Missing market data should not be interpreted as a zero ADA price, and an old reference value should not be used as a fresh quote.
